Python Backend Engineer – Cloud & AI Integration

Our client, a technology-driven company in the food services sector, is seeking a backend specialist to advance their core platform. This role involves developing scalable architectures, integrating AI capabilities, and ensuring the high performance of a multi-platform service ecosystem.

• Architect and build scalable APIs and services for order orchestration and internal operations.
• Implement cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform focused on high reliability and performance.
• Lead the design and deployment of complex backend features through the full development lifecycle.
• Integrate AI-assisted engineering workflows and LLM capabilities into the existing platform.
• Oversee system monitoring and observability using tools like Sentry and logging frameworks.
• Drive engineering excellence by mentoring peers and establishing backend best practices.

• 5+ years of experience in backend development.
• 5+ years of experience with Python and FastAPI.
• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing scalable distributed systems.
• You possess expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or equivalent cloud providers.
• You bring a strong understanding of APIs, databases, and asynchronous systems.
• You have experience with monitoring and reliability tools including Sentry.
• You're familiar with LLM-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.
• Proactive ownership mindset and ability to drive projects independently end-to-end.
• You are fluent in English and French.
