Our client, a major player in the logistics and maritime sector, is seeking a specialist to ensure the stability and security of critical Linux-based infrastructure. This role focuses on rapid intervention and high-availability system maintenance within a 24/7 automated environment to safeguard operational continuity.

Responsibilities

  • Function as 2nd line support for Linux infrastructure, focusing on rapid incident resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Diagnose and resolve OS-level incidents impacting terminal operating systems, automation servers, and control room environments.
  • Install, configure, and maintain standardized Linux distributions across physical, virtual, and industrial-grade systems.
  • Develop automation scripts to streamline operational tasks and support configuration management workflows.
  • Implement security hardening measures, including firewall configurations and specialized security policies.
  • Manage virtualization and container platforms to ensure a resilient and scalable infrastructure architecture.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in Linux system administration with RHEL, Ubuntu, or Debian.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash and Python for operational automation.
  • Solid knowledge of networking and storage configuration within complex infrastructure environments.
  • Hands-on experience with production troubleshooting and infrastructure incident handling.
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms including KVM and VMware.
  • You have a structured and methodical approach to problem-solving under operational pressure.
  • You're willing to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support mission-critical systems.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience working in industrial or OT environments.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible.
  • Experience with high-availability infrastructure in automation-heavy contexts.
