Our client, a leading organization in the omnichannel food retail sector, is looking for a specialist to translate business strategy into robust technological solutions. The project focuses on defining the IT roadmap and high-level architecture for core supply chain capabilities across multiple regions.
Responsibilities
- Translate business strategy and requirements into scalable high-level architectural designs for the supply chain domain.
- Map the current IT landscape and define clear transition paths toward target end-state architectures.
- Drive strategic decision-making and lead RFP trajectories for key systems such as warehouse and transport management.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and product management to ensure architectural alignment with long-term goals.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and Industry 4.0 innovation opportunities to modernize the supply chain ecosystem.
- Manage architectural governance, including the documentation of decisions, trade-offs, and total cost of ownership analysis.
Requirements
- You have 5+ years experience in IT architecture within Retail and Supply Chain environments.
- You bring 5+ years of specialized knowledge in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transport Management Systems (TMS).
- You possess 3+ years of experience with REST APIs, Kafka, and MuleSoft.
- You have 3+ years working with Microservices, Event-driven architecture, and Enterprise design patterns.
- You're experienced with Cloud-native concepts and modern infrastructure.
- You have a proven track record in Architecture Governance and TCO analysis to support strategic choices.
- You possess experience working within Agile, Scrum, or SAFe frameworks alongside traditional project methodologies.
- You're proactive and solution-oriented with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business narratives.
- You have the flexibility to travel to international business sites to assess local operations.
- You are fluent in English.
Nice to Haves
- Proficiency in Dutch or French.
- Knowledge of SAP MM and Industry 4.0 trends in a logistics context.
- Experience with EA modeling tools such as BiZZdesign or LeanIX.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes.
