Our client, a leading organization in the insurance sector, is seeking a professional to support a strategic, multi-year data transformation program. This role involves performing complex data analysis and modeling tasks to help re-engineer data warehouse environments and implement a modern data mesh architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and moderate workshops with business stakeholders to define and clarify data requirements.
  • Analyze requests for new datasets and reports, including data profiling, security rules, and source-to-target mapping.
  • Design detailed solutions for data ingestion, storage, transformation, and distribution in line with business rules.
  • Develop and maintain conceptual and logical data models according to established standards and guidelines.
  • Translate business needs into functional analysis and design specifications for the development team.
  • Ensure consistency across data patrimonies and foster integration and reuse across the organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data modeling and business functional analysis.
  • 5+ years working with MS Azure data platform architecture and Databricks.
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL, Microsoft BI Tools, and Informatica.
  • 5+ years knowledge of data application development, lifecycle management, and data governance.
  • 3+ years of experience with DMBOK frameworks.
  • You possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in a scientific or IT domain.
  • You're structured, proactive, and a problem solver with excellent communication skills.
  • You are fluent in Dutch or French with good knowledge of English.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in functional Enterprise modeling and Architecture.
  • Knowledge of insurance processes and business rules.
  • Familiarity with data modeling tools such as Erwin.
  • Understanding of scheduling principles and techniques.

  • Duration: 12 months (plus extension)
  • Location: Brussels
  • Working model: Hybrid (2 days per week onsite)
  • Contract: open to both permanent employees and freelancers
