Scientist en Biologie Moléculaire et Biochimie (PCR/ELISA)

We are looking for a Molecular Biology & Biochemistry Scientist to join a leading pharmaceutical environment focused on vaccine production in Walloon Brabant.

This position is ideal for a hands-on scientist who enjoys combining routine laboratory work with method development and optimization. You will contribute both to daily analytical activities and to the development of critical molecular biology methods supporting production and process monitoring.

Your Mission

You will join an analytical laboratory embedded within a vaccine manufacturing setting. Your responsibilities will be structured around three main areas:

• Perform routine analytical testing in molecular biology and biochemistry using PCR and ELISA technologies.
• Develop a new qPCR method for the quantification of residual MRC-5 host cell DNA in in-process and final samples, replacing a legacy technology reaching end-of-life.
• Optimize and qualify PCR-based RNA quantification methods, and deploy them for in-process monitoring of key vaccine products.

• Master’s degree or PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Strong experience in PCR/qPCR method development, optimization, and qualification.
• Solid hands-on experience with PCR and ELISA in routine laboratory environments.
• Experience with host cell residual DNA quantification (ideally MRC-5) and/or in-process monitoring is a strong asset.
• Good understanding of GMP pharmaceutical or vaccine manufacturing environments.
• Autonomous, rigorous, and comfortable working in an international environment.
• Fluency in English and French
