Our client, a major player in the infrastructure sector, is seeking a Senior Expert to lead the optimization of their resource planning and capacity management. This role involves establishing an integrated planning framework for both maintenance and large-scale projects to enhance forecasting and managerial decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing planning processes, tools, and workload data to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
  • Map complex activities across preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance as well as project-based workloads.
  • Define integrated planning rules regarding horizons, granularity, priorities, and safety margins.
  • Develop a robust capacity management model comparing team workload against available skills and periods.
  • Design and implement standardized KPIs to monitor workload ratios, utilization rates, and planning compliance.
  • Draft functional specifications and facilitate workshops to support the rollout of new planning solutions.
  • Provide strategic recommendations and an improvement roadmap to guide managers and operational teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of expertise in planning, capacity management, and resource allocation within technical maintenance or project-based environments.
  • 5+ years of deep experience with SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) including customizing, work center capacity, and maintenance order management.
  • 5+ years of experience with SAP PS (Project System) focusing on WBS structures, activity scheduling, and resource assignment.
  • 5+ years of experience drafting functional specifications and facilitating collaborative workshops.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating integrated planning with external contractors and third-party firms.
  • Strong analytical skills for workload/capacity forecasting and identifying resource gaps.
  • Professional attitude with excellent presentation skills and a result-oriented approach.
  • You are fluent in Dutch or French (C2) with intermediate knowledge (B1) of the other and upper-intermediate English (B2).

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with HR qualification integration and competency-based matching.
  • Hands-on experience implementing modern planning tools such as RSH or FSM.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call standby services.
