Our client, a leading organization in the European energy sector, is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to drive architectural governance and strategic roadmaps. This role involves defining standards and providing guidance across a federated operating model to ensure the delivery of a reliable and sustainable energy infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead the definition and continuous improvement of the governance framework, including principles, standards, policies, and reference architectures.
- Translate central digital platform guardrails into consumable guidance for local delivery teams to ensure alignment with the target operating model.
- Conduct cross-domain trade-off analyses using industry-recognized methods such as ATAM and CBAM to deliver founded architectural recommendations.
- Maintain the enterprise architecture repository and architecture decision records as a single source of truth to prevent decision drift.
- Manage the architecture vision document and contribute to the development of an enterprise-wide IT roadmap including impacts and dependencies.
- Perform alignment assessments and compliance reviews at key delivery milestones to verify adherence to architectural standards.
Requirements
- You have 8+ years of experience in an Enterprise Architecture role.
- You possess a solid understanding of IT processes and methodologies, including practical experience with ITIL, TOGAF, ArchiMate, and Domain-Driven Design.
- You bring experience with Cloud-native architecture patterns, Microservices, and Event-driven architecture approaches.
- You have proven experience facilitating ARB sessions and managing Architecture Decision Records (ADR).
- You're proficient with modeling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, SAP LeanIX, or equivalent alternatives.
- You bring knowledge of Gartner architecture frameworks such as TIME for application portfolio management.
- You have a proactive and results-oriented mindset with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- You possess strong collaboration skills and excellent presentation abilities.
- You are fluent in English.
Nice to Haves
- Experience in merger or acquisition contexts and associated transformation journeys.
- Hands-on experience designing and delivering IT solutions in an Agile environment.
- Professional experience within the energy or utilities sector.
- Knowledge of French, Dutch, or German.
