Our client, a leading pharmaceutical organization, is seeking an experienced professional to manage automated industrial control systems within an aseptic manufacturing environment. This role focuses on the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initial design and specification to system qualification and long-term maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full project lifecycle of industrial control systems, including the development of URS and FRS documents.
  • Design, implement, and optimize automated systems such as HMI, PLC, SCADA, and DCS solutions like Emerson DeltaV.
  • Perform technical troubleshooting during system startup and operations, including software adjustments and PLC code reviews.
  • Support the deployment and end-to-end testing of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and their associated integrations.
  • Execute validation and qualification activities in strict compliance with GMP regulations and quality systems.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers for Level 2 integration designs and contribute to the improvement of E&I standards.

Requirements

  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Sciences, Automation, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • You bring 8+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or biotech environments, specifically within regulated GMP sectors.
  • You possess expertise in industrial control systems including HMI (SCADA WinCC), PLC (S7), and DCS (DeltaV).
  • You have experience with Computer Systems Validation (CSV), data integrity principles, and risk assessment methodologies such as FMEA or HAZOP.
  • You possess strong knowledge of industry standards including ISA95, ISA88, CFR Part 11, and EU Annex 11.
  • You bring advanced problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills to drive strategic technical initiatives.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English.
