Senior Functional Analyst – Critical Infrastructure & Traffic Management Systems

Our client, a leading organization managing critical transport infrastructure, is looking for a Senior Functional Analyst to join their Agile development environment. The role involves bridging the gap between business requirements and complex IT solutions for mission-critical applications that operate 24/7.

• Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications for development teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and Scrum teams to define technical solutions and validate functional choices.
• Manage the product backlog by crafting user stories and defining acceptance criteria in coordination with the Product Owner.
• Coordinate functional testing and define comprehensive test scenarios to validate system deliveries.
• Analyze production incidents and propose corrective solutions to ensure system stability.
• Maintain up-to-date functional documentation and serve as the primary contact for application logic.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support business-critical operations.

• You possess 15+ years of experience in functional analysis within Agile development environments.
• You bring 15+ years of experience managing interactions between business stakeholders and IT departments.
• You have 10+ years of experience with UML, ERD, BPMN, and writing User Stories.
• You possess 10+ years of experience defining business rules and UAT acceptance criteria.
• You have 5+ years of experience facilitating workshops and using Jira, Confluence, and Miro.
• You bring 5+ years of experience performing incident analysis and reading SQL, MySQL, or Oracle data models.
• You have 5+ years of experience working with complex IT architectures including Java-based applications and APIs.
• You possess 2+ years of experience working within LeSS frameworks and utilizing Story Mapping.
• You're highly organized, accurate, and capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• You are fluent in Dutch or French (C2 level) with a C1 level of English.
