Our client, a leading organization in the media and broadcasting sector, is looking for a professional to join their infrastructure team. This role focuses on evolving media infrastructure into a platform-based model, ensuring high availability and building self-service capabilities for other engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing media systems and workflows to design proposals for self-service platform services.
  • Build and maintain automation for the deployment of media-specific applications.
  • Manage and optimize the infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance of media streams.
  • Implement proactive monitoring and structural solutions to identify and resolve issues early.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate operational needs into scalable platform services.
  • Document complex technical processes and data flows to ensure knowledge retention and team self-sufficiency.

Requirements

  • You have 5+ years of experience as a Linux System Engineer within the Red Hat ecosystem, specifically with RHEL and Foreman.
  • You possess 5+ years of experience managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Bitbucket.
  • You bring 3+ years of experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, or Podman.
  • You have 3+ years of experience with automation tools like Ansible or Ansible Automation Platform.
  • You possess proficiency in scripting with Python.
  • You have experience with monitoring tools like CheckMK or Nagios.
  • You bring the ability to map and document complex system components, integrations, and dependencies.
  • You're familiar with Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban.
  • You are native in Dutch.

Nice to Haves

  • 2+ years experience with Terraform and cloud environments like AWS.
  • Affinity for workflow automation and file transfer systems such as Aspera or IBM Orchestrator.
  • Knowledge of MAM/PAM systems and clustered storage solutions like IBM Spectrum Scale or Dell PowerScale.
  • Experience with the ELK stack, Grafana, RedHat IDM, or virtualization.
  • Willingness to use AI productivity tools in a responsible and secure manner.
