Our client, a prominent federal organization dedicated to social services, is looking for a Senior Functional Analyst to support a large-scale digital transformation program. The project involves replacing legacy back-office applications with modern solutions to streamline the management of social rights and citizen services.
Responsibilities
- Translate complex business requirements and legislative frameworks into functional specifications and detailed user stories.
- Bridge the gap between business stakeholders and development teams to ensure technical solutions align with strategic goals.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and external modules teams to manage expectations and align project planning.
- Develop and maintain technical-functional documentation, including system specifications and process flows.
- Execute technical and functional tests to validate system integration and correct data processing.
- Support the Scrum Master and Project Lead in backlog management and sprint planning focused on technical feasibility.
Requirements
- You have 10+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, or Product Manager.
- You bring 5+ years of experience within government projects and the social security ecosystem.
- You possess 5+ years of experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD).
- You have 5+ years of experience in requirements analysis and the use of modeling tools.
- You bring 5+ years of experience using Jira and Confluence.
- You possess 3+ years of experience with BPMN, CMMN, or DMN.
- You have 2+ years of experience using Postman.
- You're experienced in analyzing technical documents and system information to derive underlying business processes.
- You are fluent in Dutch with active knowledge of English and passive knowledge of French.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with scaled Agile or Scrum methodologies in multi-team environments.
- Knowledge of eGovernment standards, Java, JEE, Spring, and REST.
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or MS Copilot.
- Experience working on large-scale projects with budgets exceeding 3M Euro.
Offer

- Duration: project through end of 2026
- Work regime: Full-time
- Location: Brussels
- Working model: Hybrid (minimum 2 days onsite on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with standby availability during releases)
- Contract: open to both permanent employees and freelancers
