Our client, a leading player in the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a technical expert to support various utility and infrastructure projects on its campuses. The role involves acting as a Subject Matter Expert for electrical and instrumentation packages, focusing on energy transition, modernization, and the reliability of utility systems.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for all electrical and instrumentation packages across multiple engineering projects.
- Review and challenge technical documentation, including User Requirement Specifications, functional specifications, and electrical drawings.
- Define and apply engineering standards, norms, and guidelines for electrical installations and instrumentation.
- Lead design reviews and participate in risk analyses, safety reviews, and HAZOP sessions.
- Manage Request for Quotations (RFQs) and provide technical expertise during supplier selection.
- Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring quality control and safety compliance through regular field presence.
- Support FAT, SAT, and the commissioning and qualification phases to ensure successful project handover.
Requirements
- You bring 10+ years of relevant experience in Electrical & Instrumentation engineering within industrial or highly regulated environments.
- You have extensive expertise in Electrical design, technical calculations, and the preparation of complex technical specifications.
- You possess experience in project execution phases, from initial design through to FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
- You have a strong understanding of Belgian electrical safety regulations (RGIE).
- You're safety-oriented and capable of effectively coordinating with multidisciplinary stakeholders and engineering offices.
- You are fluent in French with a good technical command of English.

- Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry or with EPC and EPCM projects.
- Experience in maintenance engineering or energy optimization initiatives.
- Willingness to obtain a BA5 certification.
