Responsibilities
The Management Review Lead is accountable for transforming Management Review into a
forward-looking, insight-driven governance mechanism that connects quality system
performance with patient safety, portfolio risk, and enterprise decision-making.
The role ensures leadership has a clear, predictive, and actionable view of quality health,
enabling UCB to proactively manage risk and continuously improve the Pharmaceutical Quality
System across the product lifecycle.
The role will help us move Management Review from “what happened” to “what matters
next”.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Management Review Execution and Strategy
• Critically review the different reports compiled through the Management Review Process
• Design and evolve UCB’s end-to-end Management Review ecosystem, integrating
global, functional, and site-level reviews
• Ensure governance aligns with ICH Q10 and exceeds baseline compliance by focusing
on decision effectiveness
Quality Insights
• Translate complex QMS data into clear executive insights, focusing on:
o Leading vs lagging indicators
o Systemic and cross-portfolio risk
o Early signals impacting patients and supply continuity
• Partner with Quality Intelligence teams to continuously enhance data quality and
visualization
Executive Decision Enablement
• Act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on:
o Quality risk prioritization
o Resource and capability needs
o Trade-offs impacting patient outcomes and compliance
• Ensure decisions are traceable, outcome-driven, and followed through
Continuous System Maturity
• Assess and improve Management Review maturity using industry benchmarks and
internal learning
• Embed lessons learned from inspections, recalls, and external quality events
• Drive simplification, consistency, and clarity across management forums
External & Regulatory Readiness
• Position Management Review as a demonstrator of quality culture, not just compliance
to regulatory requirements
• Serve as global SME during inspections, audits, and health authority interactions
Profile & Capabilities
• Experience with the operational execution of Management Review processes, including
data preparation, documentation, meeting support, and action tracking.
• Deep expertise in pharmaceutical QMS, governance, and quality risk management
• Strong strategic thinking and executive communication skills
• Data-savvy with the ability to synthesize trends into actionable intelligence
• Comfortable influencing across functions and senior leadership levels
• Passion for patient-centric quality decision-making
