Our client, a prominent public sector organization, is looking for a senior leader to provide strategic support to the head of the department. The role involves managing high-impact programs centered on infrastructure and software development while driving project management excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic advisory and coaching services to the head of the department.
- Lead and oversee complex programs related to IT infrastructure and software development.
- Apply and optimize project management methodologies such as Prince2 or PMBok within the organization.
- Manage program-level risks and issues using standardized techniques and tools.
- Execute program management methodologies including MSP, Agile, and Scrum to ensure delivery.
- Facilitate the transfer of expert knowledge regarding project management roles, processes, and terminology.
- Ensure alignment with ITIL service management standards across all program activities.
Requirements
- You have 15+ years of experience managing complex IT infrastructure or software development projects.
- You bring 12+ years of expertise in strategic advisory and coaching roles.
- You possess 10+ years of management experience within the IT sector.
- You have 8+ years of experience leading large-scale programs.
- You bring expert knowledge of project management frameworks such as Prince2 or PMBok.
- You possess advanced knowledge of program management methodologies like MSP, Agile, or Scrum.
- You have experience working within a public sector or governmental environment.
- You're able to transfer expert knowledge and mentor team members effectively.
- You are fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.
Nice to Haves
- Experience working within the Flemish government.
- Familiarity with the GROW coaching model and Belbin team roles.
- Practical experience with ITIL processes and terminology.
- Knowledge of specific project management tools for risk and issue tracking.
- Master’s degree in Political or Administrative Sciences.
