Our client, a key organization in the energy and infrastructure sector, is looking for a Senior Strategic Portfolio Management Consultant to translate strategic priorities into a coherent portfolio of initiatives. The role focuses on high-level analysis and executive decision support to ensure investment alignment with value creation, risk exposure, and organizational capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Translate strategic objectives into a structured portfolio of initiatives to ensure organizational alignment.
  • Enable executive decision-making on investment priorities through portfolio-level analysis and prioritization.
  • Operate at the enterprise level to align investment choices with value creation and risk exposure.
  • Support leadership in determining whether initiatives should be prioritized, reshaped, or discontinued.
  • Develop executive-level portfolio governance frameworks and reporting structures.
  • Deliver data-driven insights using BI tools to facilitate storytelling and strategic reporting for CxO stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Portfolio Management within complex or regulated environments.
  • You have extensive experience supporting Senior Management or CxO levels in strategic decision-making and portfolio governance.
  • You bring a proven ability to translate strategic objectives into structured portfolios of initiatives.
  • You possess deep knowledge of Portfolio Management Frameworks such as MoP, PfMP, or SAFe Lean Portfolio Management.
  • You have experience with BI tools for data visualization, analysis, and executive storytelling.
  • You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or Management Sciences.
  • You're an advisor with a communicative, analytical, solution-oriented, and pragmatic mindset.
  • You are fluent in English, French, and Dutch.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in the Belgian energy sector involving grid operations or energy transition initiatives.
  • Certification in MoP, PfMP, or SAFe Lean Portfolio Management.
  • Professional experience using PPM tools.
