Our client, a leading organization in the public social security sector, is looking for an expert to drive the digital transformation of their citizen service platform. This role involves leading functional analysis and project coordination within an Agile environment to evolve a web application into an interactive self-service portal.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional designs and innovative solution proposals for digital service flows.
  • Develop user stories, use cases, process descriptions, and data models to ensure consistency across the application landscape.
  • Define interfaces, APIs, and data streams in close collaboration with solution architects and backend development teams.
  • Manage project planning, scope, and priorities while coordinating team activities and reporting on risks.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to ensure alignment.
  • Oversee quality assurance by guiding system integration and user acceptance testing activities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years experience in functional analysis for web applications and complex integrated systems.
  • 8+ years experience in project leadership and team coordination, preferably within Agile environments.
  • Extensive expertise in managing complex data flows, APIs, and system integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycles and modern architectural patterns.
  • Proven track record in stakeholder management and acting as a bridge between business and IT.
  • You possess the ability to provide at least two professional references and a portfolio of relevant projects.
  • You are fluent in Dutch or French with active knowledge of the other and professional proficiency in English.

Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of the Java ecosystem.
  • Experience with eID authentication integrations.

Offer

  • Start date: ASAP.
  • Duration: 6-12 months (extendable).
  • Work regime: Full-time or 80%.
  • Location: Brussels.
  • Working model: Hybrid with onsite presence required during key project moments.
  • Contract: open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
