Senior Functional Analyst – SAS Data Platform & Analytics

Our client, a leading organization in the utilities sector, is looking for a functional analyst to transform business needs into valuable data-driven solutions. The role involves bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams to design and evolve a robust, scalable data platform.

• Collaborate with business experts and stakeholders to refine and formalize reporting, analytics, and data requirements.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, business rules, and source-to-target mappings.
• Design logical data models, including dimensional modeling and star schemas, for data warehouses and analytical marts.
• Perform data profiling and analysis on operational sources to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Define and execute functional tests to validate the integrity and consistency of implemented data solutions.
• Provide functional expertise and impact assessments to project managers and delivery leads to ensure project success.

• 8+ years experience in the Business Intelligence or Analytics domain.
• 5+ years experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or Business Intelligence Consultant.
• 8+ years experience with Business Requirements gathering and Functional Analysis within diverse business sectors.
• 8+ years experience in Data Modeling, including Dimensional Modeling and Star Schema design.
• You possess a Master’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical field.
• You have a strong analytical mindset and the ability to conceptualize complex data domains and processes.
• You're able to present ideas in a clear and structured way to both technical and business stakeholders.
• You possess a proactive, autonomous, and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• You are fluent in French or Dutch with passive knowledge of Dutch or French.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide (EG), SAS Visual Analytics (SAS VA), and SAS Data Integration.
• Knowledge of Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
• Certification or experience as a Project Manager.
• Familiarity with Cloud technologies and modern analytical data platform architectures.
