Full-Stack Developer – Python (Django) & React Apps

Our client, a specialized public safety organization focused on investigative support, is looking for a Software Engineer to join a dedicated development team. The role involves building and maintaining critical Django-based applications to support complex operational requirements within an on-premise, Agile environment.

• Develop and maintain new features for a Python-based platform using the Django framework.
• Build and optimize responsive user interfaces and front-end components using React.
• Translate complex operational needs into technical specifications and innovative software solutions.
• Manage deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines utilizing containerization technologies.
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data across all developed software components.
• Collaborate effectively within a small Agile team to solve complex technical challenges.

• 3+ years of backend development experience with Python and Django.
• 3+ years of frontend development experience with React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience in data processing and management using SQL and Pandas.
• Working knowledge of API development including REST, SOAP, and GraphQL.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Docker Compose for deployment and CI/CD.
• Proficiency with version control tools such as Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
• You bring a strong focus on data quality and the ability to solve complex technical problems.
• You are proactive, detail-oriented, and demonstrate strong communication skills.
• You possess the ability to obtain a security accreditation.
• You are fluent in English with active knowledge of Dutch or French and at least a passive understanding of the other.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Nginx or Apache web servers.
• Knowledge of Azure cloud platforms.
