Our client, a prominent organization in the public safety and security sector, is seeking a 3D Modeller to join their specialized innovation lab. The role focuses on developing high-fidelity XR training simulators and immersive environments for specialized operational teams.

Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality 3D models of characters, vehicles, and environments using Blender.
  • Develop realistic textures and materials utilizing PBR workflows to enhance visual immersion.
  • Optimize asset topology, texture sizes, and LODs for high performance across various XR platforms.
  • Integrate assets into Unity ensuring correct scale, materials, and naming conventions.
  • Prototype and iterate on immersive 3D environments to reflect real-world operational scenarios.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including programmers and end users, to ensure asset authenticity.

Requirements

  • You bring experience in 3D modeling, sculpting, and UV unwrapping using Blender.
  • You possess a solid understanding of PBR texturing workflows and tools such as Substance Painter or Substance Designer.
  • You have experience optimizing assets for real-time rendering on XR platforms, covering poly count and LODs.
  • You're experienced in exporting and integrating 3D assets into the Unity engine.
  • You possess a comprehensive portfolio demonstrating high-quality 3D assets for games or XR simulations.
  • You have an excellent eye for detail, proportion, and realism.
  • You are proactive and able to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • You are proficient in Dutch, French, or English.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with 3D scanning, LIDAR, and photogrammetry.
  • Familiarity with digital reconstruction techniques.
  • Prior experience within the security or defense sectors.
  • Knowledge of operational training environments.
