Our client, a prominent player in the European energy sector, is looking for a specialist to ensure the reliability and scalability of their on-premises services. The role focuses on designing observability frameworks and managing infrastructure to support a sustainable energy transition.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain monitoring infrastructure and custom visualization solutions using dashboards and alerts.
  • Implement distributed tracing, log aggregation systems, and SLI/SLO frameworks to ensure system performance.
  • Establish monitoring best practices while maintaining security compliance for all on-premises tools.
  • Automate deployment and configuration management to improve system efficiency and uptime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional development teams on application instrumentation and process improvements.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-duty rotations to provide critical incident support.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in Linux system administration, networking, and on-premises security.
  • 3+ years in monitoring and observability with Grafana, Prometheus, and PromQL.
  • 2+ years implementing OpenTelemetry and Elasticsearch in production environments.
  • Experience with automation programming using Python, Bash, or Go.
  • You bring a proven track record with enterprise security practices and compliance requirements.
  • You possess the ability to balance technical trade-offs with business needs and prioritize effectively.
  • You're available to participate in 24/7 incident support rotations.
  • You are fluent in English with a C1 level.

Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of German, French, or Dutch.
