Our client, a major organization in the transportation sector, is seeking a consultant to lead the transformation of their governance and risk management landscape. The project involves identifying requirements, defining a strategic blueprint, and managing the end-to-end implementation of specialized GRC tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage stakeholders across various departments to elicit GRC process requirements.
  • Analyze current tools and perform fit-gap assessments against organizational investment strategies and technology standards.
  • Develop a strategic blueprint and implementation roadmap including resource planning and licensing needs.
  • Lead the execution of GRC tooling implementations while ensuring alignment with defined business requirements.
  • Facilitate steering committee meetings and present project updates to both technical teams and senior management.
  • Bridge the gap between operational needs and regulatory compliance within a large-scale project environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in the definition and implementation of GRC concepts and processes.
  • 5+ years experience with the implementation of at least two different GRC tools.
  • 3+ years experience as a Project Manager applying Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • You have proven experience leading GRC tooling selection and implementation projects within organizations of over 1000 employees.
  • You possess a certification in ISO/IEC 27001 (Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor) or an ISACA certification such as CGEIT or CRISC.
  • You bring practical experience supporting the application of regulatory frameworks including NIS2, ISO27001, and GDPR.
  • You're experienced in stakeholder management, particularly in capturing business requirements and managing senior-level expectations.
  • You possess strong communication skills for meeting facilitation and Steering Committee presentations.
  • You are fluent in English (minimum B2) and Dutch or French (minimum C1) with B-level proficiency in the second national language.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with specific platforms such as SAI360 or ServiceNow.
  • Experience managing projects in high-ambiguity environments with multiple high-ranking stakeholders.

Offer

  • Start date: 27/07/2026.
  • Duration: project until 31/12/2027.
  • Work regime: Full-time.
  • Location: Brussels.
  • Working model: Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week onsite).
  • Contract: open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
