Senior Chief Information Security Officer – Information Security & Risk Management

Our client, a leading organization in the water and environmental technology sector, is looking for a Chief Information Security Officer to lead their information security policy. This role involves safeguarding digital assets, managing complex risks, and ensuring compliance with international standards while advising senior management on strategic security investments.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with organizational business goals.
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate information security risks through structured risk management processes.
• Ensure organizational compliance with relevant legislation and standards such as GDPR, NIS2, and ISO 27001.
• Lead the incident response efforts for data breaches and cyber-attacks.
• Enhance the security awareness culture across the entire organization.
• Advise the board and executive management on security-related risks and necessary investments.

• 8+ years of experience in information security leadership and developing Cybersecurity Strategies.
• 8+ years of expertise in Stakeholder Management and Change Management within multidisciplinary environments.
• 5+ years of experience working with ISO 27001, NIS2, and GDPR frameworks.
• Proven track record in Project Monitoring and the creation of security Roadmaps.
• Technical background in IT infrastructure and security engineering.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others and manage resistance to change.
• Analytical and solution-oriented mindset regarding risk mitigation.
• You are fluent in Dutch with professional working proficiency in English.
