Our client, a leader in the life sciences industry, is seeking a Project Manager to support their engineering and automation department. This role focuses on overseeing process equipment projects and ensuring the successful delivery of complex technical solutions within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage long-term project planning and oversee the department's portfolio of engineering projects.
  • Lead the design of GxP-compliant automation systems, including historian integration, PLC, and HMI.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to represent engineering projects and ensure alignment on priorities.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide technical guidance and support knowledge management through gap analyses and training for junior personnel.
  • Address complex technical challenges and risks to maintain the progress of critical departmental activities.
  • Assisting project engineers in applying standard principles and managing individual engineering work packages.

Requirements

  • You have a Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • You bring 10+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5+ years in project management or leadership.
  • You possess a strong background in pharmaceuticals or biotech with a proven affinity for GMP environments.
  • You have technical experience in automation systems, historian integration, and PLC/HMI connectivity.
  • You're a proactive communicator with a mindset focused on stakeholder engagement, transparency, and accountability.
  • You are fluent in English with a high level of Dutch.
