Our client, a leading national media organization, is seeking an engineer to bridge the gap between traditional broadcast and modern IT architecture. This role involves developing software-driven workflows and implementing state-of-the-art virtual studio environments within a newly established production facility.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement next-generation television studio environments and virtual production systems.
- Manage studio technology including cameras, graphics systems, and video infrastructure.
- Architect IP- and software-based broadcast solutions to modernize production workflows.
- Analyze production requirements alongside technical teams to translate needs into concrete implementations.
- Troubleshoot and safeguard the continuity of live broadcasts through testing and fallback strategies.
- Document system workflows, procedures, and technical architectures for long-term operational stability.
- Coordinate the operational rollout and validation of new media systems within a large-scale infrastructure project.
Requirements
- You possess a Bachelor or Master in Audiovisual Technology, IT, or equivalent through experience.
- You have 5+ years of experience within the media or broadcast sector.
- You bring 5+ years of experience operating and coordinating technical production environments.
- You have 3+ years of experience with modern broadcast and IT technology including studio, gallery, and video infrastructure.
- You bring 3+ years of experience designing and implementing media workflows with integrated monitoring and fallback solutions.
- You have experience with AV-over-IP and Dante protocols.
- You have knowledge of audiovisual techniques, video processing, and editing software.
- You're a proactive team player with strong communication skills and the ability to perform under pressure in live environments.
- You are fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.
Nice to Haves
- Knowledge of SMPTE 2110 standards.
- Experience with virtual sets, Augmented Reality (AR), and media graphics.
- Affinity for virtualization, data center infrastructure, and cloud technologies.
