Functional Tester – Energy & Utility Systems

Our client, a pivotal organization in the energy sector, is seeking a Functional Tester to join their expanding test organization. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality releases and successful project delivery for both internal services and external utility market participants.

• Perform sanity and regression testing within defined timelines to ensure system reliability.
• Design and execute comprehensive test cases for the implementation of new functional changes.
• Log and monitor defects in ALM QC, managing the retesting and administrative closure of resolved issues.
• Document test results and report progress, risks, and defects to the test coordination team.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses requested by problem and change analysts to support technical troubleshooting.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer to backup testers and analysts in a clear and structured manner.

• You have 4+ years of experience in functional software testing, including test design and execution.
• You possess 3+ years of experience as a test specialist using formal testing methodologies.
• You have experience with billing platforms specific to the utility sector, such as Mecoms.
• You bring knowledge of batch processing within the energy market, including billing, infeed, and settlement standards.
• You possess proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries.
• You have experience working with XML and Soap UI.
• You bring experience in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• You possess an ISTQB Foundation certification.
• You're a proactive team player with strong communication and reporting skills.
• You are fluent in Dutch or French at C1 level, with at least B1 level in the other language and C1 in English.
