Category Manager Capex Procurement

Our client is a global leader in sustainable material solutions and resource efficiency operating in an international environment. This role focuses on supporting the development and execution of category strategies across a diverse portfolio of large-scale engineering and construction projects.

• Identify and analyze the project pipeline within the assigned category to conduct risk and opportunity assessments.
• Perform internal spend and scope analysis to provide key inputs for the development of category strategies.
• Integrate global market intelligence and landscape analysis into strategic procurement planning.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify standardization opportunities and reduce total cost of ownership.
• Lead source-to-contract processes for major contracts, including advanced commercial negotiations and contract management.
• Act as the primary point of contact for strategic suppliers and lead supplier relationship management activities.
• Manage financial and operational risks while ensuring compliance with procurement standards and processes.

• You have a Master or Bachelor degree in Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
• You bring 7+ years of experience in procurement within an industrial and international environment.
• You possess 5+ years of experience as a Category Procurement Manager specifically involving Capex and industrial contracting.
• You have advanced proficiency in MS Office and experience with procurement platforms such as SAP or Ariba.
• You're a proactive professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to influence multidisciplinary teams in a matrix organization.
• You are fluent in English.
