Oracle DBA / Engineer – OT Systems & Data Analytics

Our client, a leading organization in the utility sector, is looking for a specialist to strengthen their operational technology systems team. The role focuses on managing a robust data foundation through maintenance and optimization while developing new business projects and system integrations.

• Execute operational maintenance tasks including health checks, upgrades, and patching for database environments.
• Perform data refreshes, updates, and cleaning within non-production environments to ensure data integrity.
• Research and develop solutions for new business requirements and large-scale projects.
• Optimize and tune database performance to support business-critical applications.
• Integrate data systems with surrounding operational technology environments.
• Document technical procedures and workflows accurately to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance.

• 8+ years of experience with Oracle and relational database management.
• 5+ years of experience in setting up and maintaining Apache Cassandra environments.
• 5+ years of experience with Linux environment setup and maintenance.
• You possess strong scripting skills in Python and Shell.
• You have proven expertise in database optimization and performance tuning.
• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field or professional experience.
• You bring the ability to accurately document technical work and operational procedures.
• You are fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.

Nice to Haves

• Experience working within OT SCADA systems.
• Familiarity with ISO27001 standards and a security-oriented mindset.
• Knowledge of change and release management processes.
• Experience supporting large-scale, business-critical applications.
