Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to maintain and extend business-critical applications within a hybrid development environment. The role focuses on modernizing core systems through ABL development and API-driven architectures.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using ABL.
- Design and optimize database access for OpenEdge DB.
- Build and expose APIs via OpenEdge Studio.
- Analyze and improve performance regarding queries, locking, and transactions.
- Coordinate integrations with internal and external systems.
Requirements
- You have experience with Progress OpenEdge and ABL.
- You possess knowledge of Temp-tables, datasets, buffers, and PASOE.
- You bring expertise in OpenEdge database design and performance tuning.
- You have a solid understanding of transaction handling and locking mechanisms.
- You possess knowledge of building and exposing APIs.
- You're an analytical problem-solver with strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with .NET.
- Knowledge of Progress Developer Studio (PDSOE) or APIDOG.
