Python Software Engineer – Conversational AI & Cloud Integration

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Python Software Engineer to drive innovation in conversational AI and cloud-based business solutions. This role focuses on transforming complex business requirements into intelligent, secure, and scalable AI applications within a collaborative international environment.

• Translate business requirements into conversational AI solutions using a specialized execution platform.
• Perform business and functional analysis to design intuitive and user-centric solutions.
• Build and deploy Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications using Amazon Bedrock and AWS.
• Apply architectural patterns and security standards in collaboration with cross-functional technical teams.
• Develop high-code extensions and custom platform components using Python.
• Support the delivery and continuous monitoring of AI-powered business applications.

• 5+ years backend software engineering experience with Python.
• 3+ years experience with AWS services including S3 and Data Analytics.
• Proven experience in REST APIs and CI/CD pipeline integration using AWS tooling.
• Practical knowledge of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLM), and RAG architectures.
• Experience in Chatbot development and conversational AI technologies.
• You bring strong analytical thinking and experience in translating business needs into IT requirements.
• You possess excellent stakeholder management and clear communication skills.
• You are quality-driven, security-conscious, and a collaborative team player.
• You are fluent in English.

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Experience with testing and quality assurance processes.
• Knowledge of Dutch.
