Our client, a leading public sector organization, is seeking a developer to join their data platform department. The role focuses on expanding a data integration system with new services and functionalities while ensuring the secure exchange of information across various government agencies.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new services and features for a robust data integration platform.
- Maintain and manage the existing service portfolio to ensure high availability and performance.
- Resolve technical defects and implement changes to optimize system functionalities.
- Perform coding, testing, and debugging tasks to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Lead development squads and provide coaching to team members in an Agile environment.
- Contribute to modernization projects aimed at evolving the technical architecture.
Requirements
- 5+ years backend development experience with Java and J2EE.
- 5+ years specialized in REST and SOAP API design and implementation.
- 3+ years working with the Spring framework and Spring Boot runtime.
- Proven experience in containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols including OAuth 2.0, SAML, OpenID, and WS Security.
- Technical proficiency in XML, XSLT, and PKI standards.
- Experience leading development teams and coaching developers within a squad structure.
- Advanced understanding of Agile methodologies and the ability to take a leading role in Scrum.
- You are analytical, communicative, and a collaborative team player.
- You are fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.
Nice to Haves
- Knowledge of Spring Batch and Camel frameworks.
- Experience with Kafka for data streaming.
- Familiarity with Clean Coding principles, TDD, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
