Senior ICT Architect – Java & Integration Architecture

Our client, a leading organization in the public sector, is looking for a Senior ICT Architect to help shape the future of their proactive digital services. The role combines architectural vision with business analysis to support product roadmaps and guide the evolution of data-sharing platforms. This position focuses on translating technical possibilities into scalable solutions while fostering a collaborative, result-oriented team culture.

• Define and evolve the product vision and architectural roadmap for automated decision-support systems and data simulation tools.
• Model complex business processes and information flows to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives.
• Translate high-level requirements into detailed architectural guidelines, ensuring maintainability and scalability across the platform.
• Facilitate technical design discussions with developers to challenge and refine architectural choices.
• Support exploratory trajectories with stakeholders to evaluate new applications and service concepts within the data integration landscape.
• Document architectural decisions and maintain consistency with organizational standards and board directives.

• You possess 8+ years of experience as a specialist or enterprise architect within complex organizational environments.
• You have 5+ years of experience designing solution architectures that bridge business needs and technical implementation.
• You have 5+ years of expertise in analyzing and modeling business processes and information flows.
• You possess 5+ years of experience in integration architecture with a focus on SOAP and REST APIs.
• You bring 5+ years of backend development experience using Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• You have proven experience with modeling techniques including Archimate, TOGAF, UML, and Sparx EA.
• You're experienced with digital transformation and large-scale data sharing initiatives.
• You bring knowledge of project management facets and general business process optimization.
• You're a proactive and communicative professional who can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• You are fluent in Dutch with a level of C2.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with IBM ODM, Apache Camel, or SOLID ecosystems.
• Knowledge of semantic data and linked data standards such as RDF and JSON-LD.
• Practical experience with WireMock or Test Driven Development.
• Experience with stakeholder management and facilitating workshops.
• Knowledge of proactive service delivery and decision-support systems.
