Solution Designer – Digital & Cloud Solutions

Our client, a leading organization in the transport sector, is seeking a Solution Designer to translate functional requirements into sustainable technical solutions. The role focuses on designing integrated architectures within a landscape of cloud services, web applications, and mobile platforms to optimize operational processes.

• Translate functional requirements into clear and technically feasible software solutions.
• Define technical solution designs, taking ownership of architecture choices and system impacts.
• Support development teams during implementation by providing technical guidance and refinement support.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and API specifications.
• Evaluate existing technical contexts to ensure new solutions fit within the architectural landscape.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical designs align with business goals.

• You possess 3+ years of experience in solution design, application architecture, or as a technical lead.
• You bring demonstrable experience translating functional analyses and user stories into technical designs for software development.
• You have extensive knowledge of APIs, messaging, databases, and distributed application landscapes.
• You possess hands-on experience with Cloud environments or enterprise-level application ecosystems.
• You bring proven expertise in creating technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and API specifications.
• You have a strong track record of working within software delivery teams alongside developers and product owners.
• You are proactive, solution-oriented, and take full ownership of technical decisions.
• You are fluent in English at a C1 level with C2 level knowledge of Dutch or French.

Nice to Haves

• Background as a software developer within the Microsoft technology stack.
• Experience with Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, Azure Service Bus, or API Management.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and distributed systems.
• Experience with mobile applications and offline/online synchronization.
• Familiarity with .NET, C#, React, or Blazor.

• Start date: 01/09/2026.
• Duration: until 31/08/2028.
• Work regime: Full-time.
• Location: Brussels.
• Working model: Hybrid (minimum 2 days onsite).
• Contract: open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
