Energy Market Operations Analyst Capacity Market

Our client, a key organization in the European energy landscape, is looking for an operational professional to support their market mechanism activities. This role involves managing complex energy market processes, ensuring operational efficiency, and conducting technical data analysis. The position plays a vital part in maintaining a sustainable and reliable energy infrastructure through meticulous process execution and stakeholder collaboration.

• Execute operational processes including prequalification, financial securities, and availability monitoring within the market mechanism framework.
• Analyze technical and financial dossiers submitted by participants to provide operational recommendations and decision proposals.
• Produce periodic and ad-hoc reports regarding mechanism results for internal stakeholders and external energy regulators.
• Manage operational inquiries from market participants in close collaboration with account managers and product architects.
• Ensure the accurate execution of automated and manual tasks while coordinating with various internal departments.
• Contribute to the evolution of market products by sharing operational insights and practical feedback for process improvements.
• Support user acceptance testing and operational readiness assessments for new digital functionalities and solutions.

• You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or Data Analytics.
• You bring 2+ years of professional experience in operations, process management, energy markets, or financial operations.
• You possess proven data skills in Excel and a good knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
• You have a strong affinity for structured problem-solving, numbers, and working with IT tools.
• You're structured, detail-oriented, and capable of working within complex regulatory frameworks and technical documentation.
• You're a proactive team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities autonomously.
• You're committed to continuous improvement, digitalization, and automation in a data-driven environment.
• You are fluent in English and French or Dutch with a basic knowledge of the other language (French or Dutch).

• Knowledge of the energy sector and market regulatory mechanisms.
