Functional Analyst – Biometric Solutions

Our client, a leading public organization within the security and justice sector, is seeking a Functional Analyst to support the modernization of biometric identification systems. The project focuses on replacing legacy fingerprint management solutions with advanced biometric and facial recognition platforms to enhance data quality and operational efficiency.

• Analyze and model end-user requirements and business processes for complex identification systems.
• Gather, document, and prioritize functional requirements from various stakeholders.
• Draft detailed functional specifications and conduct impact analysis on existing systems.
• Collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure development aligns with functional needs.
• Define and coordinate functional and non-functional testing phases.
• Act as the primary point of contact for functional aspects within the assigned domain.
• Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for system users.

• 3+ years of experience in functional analysis and process description using UML and BPMN.
• 3+ years of experience working in Agile environments using Scrum or SAFe methodologies.
• You possess experience with project tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• You have experience with database exploration and querying using SQL Server or MySQL.
• You bring proficiency in modeling tools like Visio, Draw.io, or Enterprise Architect.
• You possess strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 including SharePoint, Teams, and advanced Excel.
• You have familiarity with API management and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• You're experienced in test management and the use of automation tools.
• Analytical mindset with excellent communication skills and a solution-oriented attitude.
• You are fluent in French and English with passive knowledge of Dutch.

Nice to Haves

• Experience in prototyping and creating visual mockups for proposed solutions.
• Basic knowledge of DevOps and continuous integration tools like Git and Jenkins.
• Familiarity with IT security standards such as ISO or laboratory compliance frameworks.
