Site Engineer AC Substation

Our client, a key player in the European energy transmission sector, is seeking a Site Engineer to support a large-scale offshore infrastructure project. The role focuses on overseeing the construction and outfitting of substation modules while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality on-site.

• Ensure safety and quality standards are strictly maintained on-site during all construction and outfitting phases.
• Act as the primary point of contact for electromechanical engineering queries and ensure alignment between site activities and the engineering team.
• Manage technical ownership of outfitting issues on-site and escalate major concerns to the construction management team.
• Lead quality control topics, including the follow-up of non-conformities and the implementation of quality processes.
• Coordinate and participate in on-site inspections and review technical documentation submitted by contractors.
• Maintain internal systems for inspection reporting to facilitate clear communication between the site team and external partners.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including inspectors, outfitting engineers, and design specialists.

• You have a Bachelor or Master in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering.
• You bring 1+ years of relevant working experience in a technical or industrial environment.
• You have experience managing multiple disciplines on a construction site.
• You possess a VCA VOL/SCC certificate for supervisors.
• You have excellent MS Office skills for structured reporting and data management.
• You're a quick learner with a proactive, structured approach and a strong safety and quality mindset.
• You are fluent in English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience in the offshore sector or with topside outfitting.
• Experience with Quality Control or Quality Assurance on construction sites.
• Knowledge of Aconex and proficiency in Dutch.
