Senior Windows System Engineer – Infrastructure & Security

Our client, a leading organization in the energy sector, is seeking a Senior Windows System Engineer to join their IT server team. This role focuses on managing, hardening, and supporting Windows server environments across international intranet and secure networks.

• Manage and optimize the TrendMicro security suite with a specific focus on host-based firewalls.
• Maintain and administer SCCM environments to ensure efficient software distribution and patch management.
• Design, harden, and support Windows Server operating systems across diverse enterprise environments.
• Manage Windows Remote Desktop environments to provide secure and reliable remote access solutions.
• Provide third-level technical support for server infrastructure and security domains.
• Develop and troubleshoot complex PowerShell scripts to automate operational tasks.

• You have 8+ years of operational experience in a Microsoft Windows Server environment at a senior level.
• You possess extensive experience with Active Directory, SCCM, and TrendMicro or similar security products.
• You bring proven expertise in host-based firewalls and general infrastructure security within enterprise environments.
• You're advanced in PowerShell scripting for complex troubleshooting and automation.
• You have experience working in large-scale environments managing over 2,000 servers and 5,000 users.
• You possess strong analytical skills for troubleshooting technical problems and writing technical documentation.
• You're a proactive team player with strong organizational skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
• You have a valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and a mobile phone.
• You are fluent in English, Dutch, and French, with native-level proficiency in either Dutch or French.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with MECM, SCOM, Splunk, PRTG, or Linux.
• Knowledge of ADFS, Infoblox, or Big-IP F5.
• Working knowledge of German.
