Data Modeler – Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence

Our client is seeking a Data Modeler to design and document data solutions that translate complex business information into usable logical models. The role focuses on supporting business intelligence, machine learning, and data science initiatives through the development of robust data structures.

• Design and document logical data models to support business intelligence and machine learning initiatives.
• Develop Data Vault and Data Mart structures to improve operational efficiency and reporting outputs.
• Analyze reporting data needs by identifying business rules, transformation requirements, and performing data profiling.
• Collaborate with Data Architects and Database Engineers to create optimal data maps and system interrelationship diagrams.
• Manage end-to-end delivery of assigned tasks, from requirement documentation to sprint demonstrations.
• Ensure the integrity, security, and scalability of data solutions while maintaining modeling standards.

• You have 5+ years of experience in data modeling including Conceptual, Logical, Physical, Data Vault, and Dimensional Modelling.
• You bring 5+ years of experience with SQL databases, focusing on DDL, querying, and performance optimization.
• You possess 5+ years of experience with Cloud Technology platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• You have 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Architecture, and Business Analysis.
• You bring 3+ years of experience with IBM InfoSphere Data Architect and IBM DB2 LUW.
• You possess experience with Netezza data warehouse appliances.
• You have experience using the Atlassian Suite including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
• You're familiar with Agile principles and Business Rules Modelling (BPMN).
• You possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• You are fluent in French and English with a moderately strong level of Dutch.

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of ETL tools and development using DataStage.
• Experience with Big Data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, HBase, Hive, and Sqoop.
• Knowledge of Data Reporting Tools such as Tableau and OLAP.
• Familiarity with Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of ITIL frameworks and Test Principles.
