Senior Business Architect – Energy Markets & Systems

Our client, a leading organization in the energy sector, is seeking a professional to bridge the gap between strategy and execution. This role involves defining business structures, processes, and systems to foster agility and drive innovation across the infrastructure landscape.

• Define the target business architecture and develop business capability maps to realize the long-term strategic vision.
• Implement information strategies by identifying data domains and defining conceptual business information models.
• Facilitate the introduction of AI at the business architecture level to drive digital transformation.
• Lead decision-making activities by providing capability-driven steering and architecture heatmaps for priority setting.
• Coordinate the validation of business architecture blueprints in collaboration with domain and solution architects.
• Ensure alignment between IT architecture roadmaps and broader business objectives across diverse departments.
• Refine architecture methodologies, frameworks, and tools to maintain operational excellence.

• You have 10+ years of proven experience in business and information architecture.
• You possess a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Commercial Engineering, or a scientific discipline.
• You bring expertise in modeling with UML, BPMN, and Archimate.
• You have a solid understanding of Domain Driven Design (DDD).
• You possess knowledge of Software Integration Patterns, Platform technologies, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Data Meshes.
• You have background and experience with implementations leveraging AI.
• You bring a solid knowledge of Business Architecture frameworks and how to communicate them to various stakeholders.
• You're a systemic thinker with excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills.
• You are fluent in English with a good level of Dutch and/or French.
