Data Analyst – Databricks & Power BI

Our client, a leading organization in the financial and insurance sector, is looking for a Data Analyst to join their reporting and data engineering team. The project focuses on translating complex data into actionable insights and robust reporting solutions to support strategic decision-making and product development.

• Analyze complex databases to gain relevant insights using advanced manipulation and visualization tools.
• Develop consistent and accurate datasets for new and existing periodic reports.
• Improve and automate data analysis and reporting processes by initiating change management.
• Identify and implement optimization opportunities to rationalize the existing reporting portfolio.
• Support stakeholders with self-service reporting tools to foster a culture of data autonomy.
• Document and analyze reporting requirements to propose and implement suitable data solutions.

• 5+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting within a complex environment.
• 5+ years of experience in dataset development and the creation of reporting solutions.
• 5+ years of experience in process improvement, reporting automation, and portfolio optimization.
• You possess advanced skills in Python, SQL, and SAS for database querying and optimization.
• You have professional experience with Databricks and Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
• You bring proficiency in MS Office 365 for business reporting tasks.
• You have an analytical mindset and the ability to drive and support change initiatives.
• You are proactive, solution-oriented, and possess strong communication and collaborative skills.
• You are fluent in English with a fluent level of Dutch or French and a good level of the other.

Nice to Haves

• Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
• Experience with Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
• Knowledge of data modeling techniques.
• Experience with end-to-end requirements management including elicitation and validation.
