Senior Application Technical Lead

Our client, a major public sector health organization, is looking for a Senior Application Technical Lead to join their software development division. The role balances technical leadership and hands-on coding to drive innovation and ensure the integration of technology solutions aligned with organizational goals.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team to foster a culture of excellence.
• Take end-to-end technical responsibility for software systems and ensure alignment with organizational standards.
• Contribute significantly to hands-on development, including coding, feature implementation, and bug fixes.
• Design scalable, maintainable systems and architectures in collaboration with the portfolio architect.
• Translate functional requirements into robust technical solutions through active collaboration with business analysts.
• Oversee code quality through thorough reviews and the implementation of stringent quality assurance processes.
• Lead the resolution of complex technical issues by providing expert troubleshooting and support.

• You have 8+ years experience in backend development using .NET Core, .NET Framework, and ASP.NET Web API.
• You bring 3+ years experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and Azure Service Bus.
• You possess 3+ years experience with frontend development using Blazor.
• You have strong knowledge of SQL, REST APIs, and GIT version control.
• You're proficient in software security practices including OWASP, OAuth, and OpenID.
• You have a solid understanding of unit testing, design patterns, and architectural best practices.
• You're able to work at least 2 days per week onsite in Brussels.
• You possess strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor other developers and mediate technical disputes.
• You are fluent in French or Dutch (C2 level) with a good knowledge (B2 level) of the other national language and a very good level of English (C1 level).

Nice to Haves

• Experience with server management and infrastructure configuration changes.
• Familiarity with performance optimization and regular system assessment.
