Senior Project Manager – Digital Payments & PCI-DSS

Our client, a prominent organization in the public transport sector, is looking for an expert to modernize their payment ecosystem and drive strategic sales solutions. This role involves steering the transition of payment service providers and leading high-stakes compliance initiatives within an agile environment.

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of the digital payment ecosystem modernization, including the procurement and implementation of new acquiring and PSP services.
• Drive the compliance and certification efforts for the payment ecosystem, ensuring full adherence to regulatory standards.
• Orchestrate cross-functional teams across finance, legal, security, and architecture to consolidate complex business and technical requirements.
• Define the target architecture for payment flows and manage technical transitions between legacy and future service providers.
• Monitor project risks, dependencies, budgets, and timelines while providing strategic reporting to senior management.
• Direct the preparation of public procurement documents, technical specifications, and tender evaluations for large-scale IT and payment services.

• You have 8+ years of experience in complex project management within regulated environments.
• You bring 3+ years of specialized expertise in electronic payments, including PSP, Acquiring, and monetics.
• You possess a proven track record in PCI-DSS compliance projects or comparable payment security initiatives.
• You're experienced in public procurement, including drafting RFP specifications and managing tender processes.
• You have advanced skills in budget management and risk and dependency management.
• You possess strong Supplier Relationship Management skills, particularly with IT and payment service providers.
• You have experience working within Agile frameworks and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• You're proactive and solution-oriented with exceptional analytical and synthesis capabilities.
• You are native in Dutch or French with professional working proficiency in English.

Nice to Haves

• Certification in PRINCE2 Practitioner or Project Management Professional (PMP).
• Knowledge of Account Based Ticketing (ABT) or EMV payment systems.
• Experience in test management for payment solutions.
