Solution Engineer – Observability & Network Performance

Our client, a leading telecommunications provider, is seeking a professional to join their observability team. This role focuses on designing and implementing monitoring infrastructure to provide real-time visibility into network and IT application performance.

• Collaborate with IT and network teams to define monitoring requirements for business and technical projects.
• Analyze technical specifications to design and implement optimal monitoring solutions.
• Manage, configure, and integrate various observability platforms.
• Translate infrastructure and network events into service and customer impact views.
• Oversee vendor and product management for monitoring tools.
• Provide technical expertise to optimize and improve current deployments.

• You have 3+ years of experience in complex IT and telecommunications environments.
• You possess strong scripting skills in Python and PERL.
• You bring hands-on experience with network reporting tools such as LiveSP or Live Action.
• You have solid knowledge of OSS, event management, and observability concepts and protocols.
• You're familiar with network topologies, architectures, and QoS concepts.
• You have a good understanding of IT systems, including OS, databases, and virtualization.
• You possess knowledge of DevOps and Agile development principles.
• You're analytical, solution-oriented, and capable of creating clear documentation and workflow diagrams.
• You are fluent in English.

Nice to Haves

• Functional knowledge of eTOM or ITIL data model standards.
• Knowledge of SDWAN technologies.
• Proficiency in French or Dutch.
