Senior Test Engineer – Cloud-Native & Microservices Expert

Our client, a prominent federal administration, is executing an ambitious digital modernization program. The project seeks an expert to lead the hands-on analysis, design, and implementation of automated testing strategies within a cloud-native microservices environment.

• Develop and operationalize a comprehensive testing strategy for a large-scale digital dossier solution.
• Validate business logic in microservices and APIs through functional, E2E, and data integrity testing.
• Implement and maintain automated API test suites for continuous integration, focusing on security and performance.
• Execute performance, stress, and load testing to ensure system scalability and robustness.
• Design security tests centered on authentication, authorization, and encryption protocols.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid feedback within DevOps processes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary agile teams to guide the design of secure and robust IT solutions.

• 10+ years technical experience in quality engineering and testing.
• 5+ years hands-on testing of cloud-native developments, specifically within Azure Cloud.
• 5+ years expertise in test automation and TDD.
• 5+ years with API test frameworks like BRUNO and UI tools such as CYPRESS.
• 5+ years of performance, stress, and load testing using JMETER or GATLING.
• 5+ years integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps.
• 5+ years experience with contract testing, mocking, and service virtualization.
• 3+ years backend development with Java SE (v10+), Python, JavaScript, and scripting with Bash or PowerShell.
• 3+ years unit, regression, and integration testing with JUNIT and CUCUMBER.
• You are fluent in English with active knowledge of Dutch or French.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with API design and microservices development.
• Knowledge of Event Driven Architecture, Domain Driven Design, and Behavioral Driven Development.
• Practical experience with GRAFANA for monitoring and observability.
• Familiarity with federal government building blocks and services.
