Data Engineer – OT & Real-time Systems

Our client, a leading organization in the utility sector, is seeking an expert to manage end-to-end OT data processing. The role involves overseeing the flow of real-time data from field operations to historical data platforms while ensuring system stability and performance.

• Manage the end-to-end processing and continuous development of real-time OT data flows.
• Ensure infrastructure stability, security, and performance through regular health checks and patching.
• Implement necessary data refreshes and maintain high standards for data quality management.
• Design and maintain database pipelines and infrastructure to support data analysts and scientists.
• Develop new business integrations and optimize existing systems through technical research.

• You have 5+ years of experience in system administration within ICT infrastructure, specifically with Unix or Linux environments.
• You possess 5+ years of experience managing Oracle environments, including SQL and PL/SQL.
• You bring 5+ years of experience building new data products and managing complex data management integrations.
• You possess experience with scripting in Python and Shell.
• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
• You're proactive and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn new technologies.

Nice to Haves

• 3+ years of experience with Apache Cassandra environments.
• Previous experience working with OT SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of ISO27001 standards and a security-focused mindset.
• Experience supporting large-scale, business-critical applications.
• Proficiency in Dutch at a C2 level.
