Data & Platform Engineer – AI & Analytics Infrastructure

Our client, a leading organization in the transport and logistics sector, is looking for a Data & Platform Engineer to help build and scale their next-generation data science and AI platform. This role focuses on designing and maintaining the data foundations and infrastructure that power analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions across the organization.

• Develop and maintain a specialized data science and AI platform to enable the experimentation and deployment of ML workloads.
• Integrate MLOps best practices and CI/CD workflows for scalable data products.
• Build and optimize reliable data ingestion and transformation pipelines ensuring high quality and security.
• Collaborate with data scientists and architects to operationalize features and high-quality, reusable data assets.
• Ensure platform usability through comprehensive documentation and continuous infrastructure improvements.

• You have 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Platform Engineering.
• You possess proven expertise in Databricks, including core runtime, jobs, workflows, and Delta Lake.
• You bring experience with Cloud Services for industrialized data analytics projects.
• You have worked with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.
• You're proficient in Python and PySpark for data processing.
• You possess knowledge of SQL, Git, and CI/CD methodologies.
• You are able to work onsite in Brussels on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
• You bring strong communication and collaboration skills.
• You are fluent in English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience setting up dedicated AI and Data Science platforms.
• Knowledge of Azure cloud environments.
• Familiarity with containerization principles using Docker and Kubernetes.
