Senior Enterprise Architect – International Security & Data Exchange

Our client, a prominent organization in the public safety sector, is looking for a professional to oversee the implementation of a national information system. This role involves designing complex architectures for international data exchange and managing technical roadmaps to ensure system interoperability. The project focuses on high-availability databases and secure communication protocols across multiple agencies.

• Manage the end-to-end implementation of IT solutions while ensuring alignment with deadlines, budget, and quality requirements.
• Develop project strategies, roadmaps, and schedules, including risk analysis and change management.
• Supervise technical teams and oversee the delivery of high-quality project outputs and technical documentation.
• Design component-based architectures and identify target and transition states for complex information systems.
• Analyze the integration of diverse information systems and coordinate technical platform implementations.
• Participate in technical working groups and program-level consultation meetings to support system evolution.
• Provide technical support during testing, implementation, and evaluation phases to ensure system reliability.

• 8+ years of experience in backend development using Java, JavaScript, and PHP.
• 8+ years of expertise in mainframe environments with SAG Natural, SAG Adabas, and Mainframe OSD.
• 8+ years of experience managing Linux systems.
• 3+ years of frontend development experience using Angular.
• 3+ years of experience with data and messaging systems including PostgreSQL and OpenMQ.
• 3+ years of experience using Maven and GIT-Gitlab.
• You possess strong analytical skills and experience in enterprise-level architecture and design.
• You have active knowledge of French or Dutch with active knowledge of English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with national security information exchange protocols or similar high-security projects.
• Familiarity with tools provided by international regulatory agencies for data exchange.
• Previous experience working within public sector or law enforcement environments.
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 standby guard rotation.

• Start date: 01/03/2026
• Duration: 10 months (until end of 2026)
• Work regime: 32 hours/week (80%)
• Location: Brussels
• Working model: Hybrid (minimum 2 days onsite per week)
