Senior Digital Platform Architect – Mobile, Web & Integration

Our client is seeking a seasoned professional to drive the architectural evolution of their digital ecosystem. The role involves defining and governing the target architecture across mobile, web, and backend-for-frontend layers to ensure a scalable, secure, and maintainable platform.

• Define and maintain the target architecture across mobile, web, and backend-for-frontend layers.
• Establish architectural principles that support platform scalability, extensibility, and maintainability.
• Design integration patterns, platform boundaries, and contribution models for various engineering teams.
• Align platform architecture with enterprise standards and security-by-design requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and facilitate architecture governance and decision-making processes.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and architectural approaches to identify and mitigate technical risks.

• 8+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, Software Architect, or Platform Architect.
• 8+ years designing digital platforms across Mobile, Web, and API channels.
• You possess advanced knowledge of REST APIs, lifecycle management, versioning, and API-first architectures.
• You have proven experience with BFF (Backend-for-Frontend), modular, and component-based architectures.
• You bring a strong understanding of cloud-based and distributed architectures including observability and reliability practices.
• You possess technical expertise in security-by-design principles using OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and API security.
• You have solid experience working within Agile environments.
• You possess strong analytical skills and the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• You are fluent in English and Dutch, or French with a strong knowledge of Dutch.

Nice to Haves

• Experience supporting architecture spikes, proof-of-concepts, and MVP initiatives.

• Start date: ASAP
• Duration: 6 months (extensions possible)

• Working model: Hybrid (minimum 2 days on-site)
