Backend Developer – Azure & .NET

Our client, a prominent player in the insurance industry, is looking for a professional to strengthen their development team. This role focuses on building serverless applications and integrating complex systems within a cloud-native environment using modern Microsoft technologies.

• Develop and maintain serverless applications using Azure Functions and Azure Container Apps.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments across various environments.
• Integrate external systems through SOAP and REST services while managing authentication via OAuth.
• Optimize data storage and retrieval processes using Cosmos DB and Redis Cache.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert functional specifications into robust technical solutions.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing and test-driven development practices.

• 5+ years backend development with C# and .NET.
• 5+ years experience in service design and IT integration.
• Practical experience with Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps, and Azure Key Vault.
• Proficiency in data management with Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, and Table Storage.
• Strong knowledge of SOAP and REST services, including XML, XSD, WSDL, and JSON.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for task management and source control.
• Basic understanding of Kubernetes and containerization.
• Analytically strong, communicative, and solution-oriented team player.
• You are fluent in Dutch with a very good knowledge of English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience in large corporate environments with structured processes.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Possession of AZ-204 or AZ-900 certifications.
• Experience in insurance-related domains such as underwriting or claims.
• Willingness to work with AI technologies.
