Java Backend Developer – Microservices & Reactive Systems

Our client is looking for a backend specialist to develop, program, and maintain robust software applications for critical business operations. The role focuses on the design and architecture of high-availability microservices with a strong emphasis on performance and scalability.

• Design and implement backend architectures based on microservices while ensuring system consistency.
• Develop high-availability and scalable solutions for critical production environments.
• Ensure backward compatibility and effective versioning during service deployments.
• Perform technical analysis and document application evolutions to guarantee maintainability.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to translate business requirements into technical implementations.
• Conduct unit and integration testing to uphold high-quality code standards.

• You have 5+ years of experience in backend development using Java 21 and Spring.
• You bring proven experience in Reactive Programming and Reactive Streams.
• You possess expertise in Microservices architecture design, including high availability and versioning.
• You have experience with RESTful APIs and Soap APIs.
• You bring knowledge of database management using Oracle, SQL, or DB2.
• You possess proficiency in Git, Jenkins, and Maven.
• You have experience working with JIRA in an Agile environment.
• You're proactive, analytical, and an excellent communicator.
• You are fluent in French, Dutch, and English.

Nice to Haves

• Proficiency in IntelliJ.
• Familiarity with JSON, XML, XSD, and WSDL.
