Automation Test Engineer – Energy Asset Management

Our client, a leading organization in the energy sector, is seeking an Automation Test Engineer to support applications in asset management and market adequacy. The role focuses on delivering high-quality software through the creation and execution of automated and manual testing strategies within a collaborative environment.

• Develop comprehensive test plans and scenarios based on functional documentation and user story acceptance criteria.
• Execute functional, non-functional, integration, and regression tests to ensure software reliability and data quality.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites to enhance testing efficiency.
• Prepare and manage test data required for various test execution cycles.
• Report and track defects using bug-tracking tools while collaborating with developers on resolutions.
• Evaluate test results and provide deployment recommendations for transitioning from test to acceptance environments.

• Experience in test planning, test design, and test scenario development.
• Scripting or programming experience with Python or similar logic for test automation.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and query construction.
• Professional experience working within Agile and Scrum teams.
• Understanding of technical concepts including APIs, Web Services, and frontend/backend architectures.
• Proactive and result-driven with a critical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
• You are fluent in English with knowledge of French and/or Dutch.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with RobotFramework.
• Knowledge of RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with DevOps ticketing systems.
• Experience in security testing.
